We're getting married at Mathis' Wiesenmühle, in Rhineland-Pfalz.
Although the mill is situated in the countryside, it is just a half an hour drive from Mainz, and 60km away from Francfort's Airport.
The nearby city of Alzey offers many options of accomodation, five minutes away from the Wiesenmühle.
BY CAR
The Wiesenmühle offers plenty of space for parking, and both the ceremony & reception are held in the same place, so coming by car is totally possible.
BY TRAIN
Whether you come from Dresden, Paris or Hamburg, the easiest by train is to reach Mainz Hbf and then cab your way to the wedding location.
You can also reach Alzey by
S-Bahn from Mainz main station.
BY PLANE
We are lucky to have Francfort's airport close to us so coming by plane is a valid option.

Then from the airport it is a 20 min train ride to Mainz (and trains ride very regularly!).
Accomodations
We recommend you look for a hotel in Alzey, the closest city to the wedding site, or in Mainz if you intend to visit our city around the wedding.
What to do
around Mainz
There are many great things and places to discover around Mainz, so take the opportunity to stay a little longer and visit!
The region is famous for its wine, its beautiful hiking trails and the well preserved castles along the Rhine. You'll find plenty of information online, but we want to recommend a few favorites!

Rüdesheim
Visit the painterly old town and go by cable car above the wine fields up to the Niederwald monument!

Make a Funzelfahrt
Many wineyards offer you tractor trips through their fields, wine tasting included!

Visit Mainz Altstadt
The old town is gorgeous (and that's where we live)
